Lisa started her professional career with a degree in business. She has spent the last 34 years selling and marketing packaging in corporate America. Lisa came to a cross roads 25 years ago when she found she had food allergies and candida. Western medicine wanted her to continue on the path she was on but take many drugs to offset the food allergies. Lisa chose not to take the advice of doctors and eliminated those foods that she was allergic to and those foods that promoted the growth of candida. Lisa cleaned out her kitchen and pantry of everything she was allergic to. Initially she felt like she couldn’t eat anything and had her human moment of “oh whoa is me” but the transformational affects of eating cleaner and healthier began to transform her life and she became passionate about the changes so much so that she took countless classes in wellness and nutrition. She even took vacation days from the day job and got certified as a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, as well as , a certified Associate Raw/Chef Instructor at the Living Light Culinary Institute of Raw Foods, Ft., Bragg, California. Lisa’s food journey then took her from that initial cleaning out of her cupboards on to microbiotic, vegetarian and now predominately raw. Raw resonates down to her soul. Lisa also got certified at the Raw Mastery program by RCD, Quintessence, New York, New York. Lisa’s journey hasn’t stopped with what she puts in her mouth . She is now a certified Permaculturist, Homesteader and Herbalist. She also works with a counselor and spiritual counselors to help her grow emotionally and spiritually. With Lisa’s insatiable urge to learn and grown, I’m sure her studies won’t stop here.
Lisa ‘s passion to share the transformational affects with others has included raw potlucks, workshops, radio and tv appearances, motivational speaking, wellness expos with guests like Carol Alt, Victoria , Boutenkko, Brenda Cobb and Dr. Roe Gallo. She also was part of the Integrative Health Expo with Olivia Newton John at West Chester University, West Chester, PA. Her Mother’s alma mater.
Lisa didn’t stop there. After years of people telling her she ought to write a book and her comment being “I’m not an author, who wants to hear what I have to say , I’m just a regular person”. Well it appears that people do want to hear what she has to say as she is the author of six books and now working on her seventh. Her titles are : “Raw Inspiration, Living Dynamically With Raw Food”, “Raw Garden”, “Liquid Raw”, “Raw Potluck”, “Raw Challenge” and the recently released “Raw Survival”. What makes Lisa so unique and different is she has two careers. By day she still works in corporate America selling packaging; weekend and evenings she promotes healthy living. So when people say to Lisa I don’t have time she kind of looks at them crossed eye and knows that if she can incorporate healthy choices in to her life so can you. She doesn’t have a support staff from a restaurant or school, nor does she live on a desert island. Although that would be nice. To Lisa healthy food must look good (organic), taste good, be good for you and easy to make. The thought of a recipe with 35 ingredients taking you have half a lifetime to find just isn’t doable for a busy lifestyle. When she teaches healthy living she teaches you how to succeed not how to fail. She feels as a regular person if she can do it so can you.
